Sandra DeYonge

Sandra DeYonge, Vice President of Publications

Sandra DeYonge is Vice President of Publications for Project WET, a worldwide water education program. Sandra has been with the program for over 10 years serving in several positions including Associate Director for International Project WET and Project WET USA Director. She is currently leading the revision of Project WET’s cornerstone publication, the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide.

In a previous position as Internal Communications Senior Manager for a large corporation, she developed and implemented an internal communications program linking 9,000 employees; helped create and facilitate the company’s WaterMark Senior Leadership program; and wrote and produced numerous corporate publications, including the company's biannual magazine. An experienced writer, teacher, presenter and facilitator, she is also an award-winning author of 14 books for children and adults; her favorite theme is natural history and the environment. She received her bachelor of science degree from Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, Virginia and her master of science in science education from Montana State University-Bozeman, her capstone theme, the power of the story to teach science.
