Born in Nepal, Kristen’s passport stamps also include Uganda, India, Thailand, Tibet, Bhutan, Japan, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Honduras, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Mexico. Her education, coupled with her commitment to the environment and desire to explore the world make her responsibilities at the Foundation a perfect match.
Kristen began at Project WET as a Project Manager in November 2007, to meet the needs of the then-new Africa project. She oversees development, coordination and distribution of Africa-specific materials based on Project WET materials.
Kristen has been a contributing author and publications manager for more than five publications with the Project WET Foundation, including health, sanitation and hygiene as they apply to water.
Prior to joining Project WET, she taught Spanish and cultural studies for World Class Kayak Academy (a traveling high school for aspiring kayakers) and ran a nonprofit protecting the Futaleufu River in Chile.
Kristen graduated from Prescott College with a bachelor’s in education.
