Children’s World Water Forum
Title: 3rd Children’s World Water Forum

Location: 5th World Water Forum, Feshane Facility, Istanbul, Turkey

Purpose
This event gathered children ages 11 to 15 from the Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia-Pacific to:
- discuss world water issues.
- present local actions about water, environment and sanitation initiated by children that can be implemented around the world.
Thematic workshops, conducted by program partners, introduced participatory tools and educational activities designed to enhance and support children’s local actions
Format and Result
Participants worked together at the Children’s Forum to identify five local actions, formally presented during the Intergenerational Dialogue Session at the Thematic Forum (component III). Participants wrote and presented a call for action to the ministers, building on the vision from the Children’s Water Manifesto at the 4th World Water Forum.
