Letter in the Times

Project WET President and CEO Dennis L. Nelson recently penned a letter in response to an article in the New York Times, "Water Use in the Southwest Heads for a Day of Reckoning". His letter, "Teaching Water Conservation", was published today in the New York Times online edition. In the piece, Dennis asserts that quality water conservation education is the only way to confront the water problems in the Southwest and elsewhere:

Effective, hands-on water-resources management education — especially for children and youth — increases personal responsibility and promotes communitywide efforts to save water.
