Educate. Empower. Act. The mission of Project WET is to reach children, parents, educators and communities of the world with water education. We invite you to join us in educating children about the most precious resource on the planet — water.
Educators working in Spanish-speaking countries have a new resource to help them collaborate virtually for effective water education. The portal latinoamericano de Project WET (Project WET's Portal for Latin America) is a Spanish-language website designed as a resource center and professional network for educators living and working in Latin American and Caribbean countries. Visitors will find educational materials, discussion forums, places to share ideas on water education and values-based education, information on Project WET's projects in Latin America and photos and videos of educators carrying out instructional activities. There is even an engaging online activity for students.
Educators from Peru, Mexico, Bolivia, El Salvador and Colombia can also apply for small grants to carry out projects related to WASH in their communities.
To learn more about the grant program (and to take advantage of the site's many other resources), sign up for free site membership to create a profile. The profile can be personalized with photos, local information and interests, allowing for easy connections with other educators around the region.
