Educate. Empower. Act. The mission of Project WET is to reach children, parents, educators and communities of the world with water education. We invite you to join us in educating children about the most precious resource on the planet — water.
An NBA Legend and a water reuse expert have joined the Project WET Foundation Board of Directors. Retired NBA player Harvey Catchings and Alan Rimer of the global consulting firm Black & Veatch were approved as new members during a Board of Directors retreat in Montana last week. The two bring a wealth of diverse experience to the Project WET Board.
Alan Rimer has been at Black & Veatch for 18 years and is currently the Director of Water Reuse. He resides in North Carolina, where he is also chair of the Board of Directors for the local Orange Water and Sewer Authority.
Harvey Catchings had an 11-year career in the NBA, playing for four teams and racking up a career 2,335 points. He is now a businessman in Houston and is active with the Houston chapter of the National Basketball Retired Players Association, a new Project WET partner focusing on urban water and STEM education and mentoring.
