New from Project WET: Discover the Yellowstone River

Discover the Yellowstone River
Discover the Yellowstone River

We didn't have to go too far afield for the latest addition to our Kids in Discovery series.

The Discover the Yellowstone River children's activity booklet explores a famous river that is more or less in Project WET's own backyard. Bozeman is about an hour from Yellowstone Park and some of the most famous spectacular portions of the Yellowstone River—the longest undammed river in the 48 contiguous United States—are within an easy drive. Yellowstone is famous for its fishing and recreation opportunities, and this booklet covers both of those important uses of the Yellowstone—plus its hydrology, geology, geography, economics, agriculture, regional history and more, all in a colorful, activity-packed booklet especially for kids ages eight through 12.

Click here for information on this booklet or to purchase copies.

Teachers interested in using the booklet in their classroom may purchase it from the Project WET store, or contact us to be placed on a registry for donated classroom kits, which feature not only copies of the new Discover the Yellowstone River booklet but also a copy of the Discover a Watershed: The Missouri Educators Guide just for you.
