Educate. Empower. Act. The mission of Project WET is to reach children, parents, educators and communities of the world with water education. We invite you to join us in educating children about the most precious resource on the planet — water.
Editor's note: Montana State University student Christina Boberg is interning this fall at the Project WET Foundation and will be sharing some of her experiences on the Project WET Water Education Blog. She will also be working on some of Project WET's social media pages, including Pinterest and Facebook. We're excited to have her input!
First and foremost, I would like to express how excited I am to have the opportunity to work with the Project WET Foundation. I have already had great discussions about ideas and projects I will be working on during my time as an intern.
I am a senior at Montana State University studying business management and will be graduating in May 2014. Since I moved here from Missoula, Montana in 2010 I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Bozeman. I have had the privilege of cheering on Montana State University athletic teams on the sidelines as a cheerleader for two years, and I am an active member of the Chi Omega Sigma Beta sorority, in which I hold various leadership roles.
The last two summers I have worked for the Missoula Osprey Baseball Team, a farm team for the Arizona Diamondbacks, as an intern and employee. During my time with the Missoula Osprey I assisted promoting not only the baseball team itself but also a new store. The owners of the baseball team opened a shop, MSO Hub. The store includes Osprey apparel, University of Montana apparel, a box office to get tickets for any and all events in Missoula, the Visitors Bureau Center and a gift shop that includes made in Montana products. While interning with the Osprey I created and developed strategies to increase sales, improve, implement and execute sales promotions. I gained great knowledge and valuable hands on experience that I hope to bring to Project WET.
I am grateful for Project WET welcoming me to the team and look forward to this great opportunity.
