Project WET Banner

The global Project WET network is comprised of individuals who care about reaching children with information and education materials on water resources, its management and protection. The network includes sponsors and coordinators that design, adapt, and localize Project WET education materials and deliver them to educators and children in their respective states/countries.

Current International Programs:
How Does My Agency or Organization Become a Country Sponsor of Project WET?

The Project WET education materials work around the world because the education methods are universal. Project WET donates its materials to official country-level agencies and organizations that agree to become the leader of Project WET. Project WET International works directly with country sponsors to develop an educator network as well as adapt, produce, print, and distribute localized guides to educators.

Individual Project WET programs are sustainable because they follow the Project WET model (materials for teachers, a country delivery network, diverse training courses, and educational support services). Once a program is established, Project WET International provides educational services as needed. Project WET has more than a set of materials that have been developed, reviewed, and acclaimed by educators; it provides a systematic way of reaching large numbers of educators and young people.

To become a country sponsor, a formal agreement with Project WET International must be signed. This agreement gives the country sponsor the right to use and distribute Project WET curriculum within their country or region. Prior to signing the agreement, formal discussions are held to determine whether the goals, mission, and structure of the two programs match. If the two organizations are found to be compatible, a sponsorship agreement may be developed and signed. Organizations interested in becoming a country sponsor should contact Project WET International directly.
