Goal
To inform, educate and empower individuals by developing and publishing educational materials on water and how it is used, managed, protected and returned to nature.
Preliminary list of topics includes:
- What is sustainability and why is it important?
- How do I know if I am sustainable?
- Natural cycles and sustainability (e.g., water cycle and seasons).
- Sustainability from an historic and indigenous perspective.
- How is water used? (e.g., water footprints for individuals, families, classrooms, schools and businesses and water audits).
- How is water managed in a sustainable manner? (e.g., through research, learn all you can about the water your business is using, so you are not taking more water than is naturally replenished through water cycle)
- How is water protected and returned to nature after use? (e.g., what measures are used to ensure the water used is treated and returned to nature in the best possible quality?)
- Sustainability success stories.
- Action ideas and plans.
